Acoustic Options

Perforated Panels & Acoustic Fleece

Perforated clip-in panels with acoustic fleece backing improve sound absorption for offices, hospitals, classrooms and public spaces.

Perforation Patterns

Clip-in panels can be perforated with various hole patterns. Standard round holes in staggered arrangement. Custom patterns and micro-perforation available for special acoustic and aesthetic requirements.

Hole DiameterPatternOpen Area
1.8mmStaggered round~15%
2.0mmStaggered round~18%
2.5mmStaggered round~23%
3.0mmStaggered round~28%

Acoustic Fleece Backing

A black acoustic fleece pad is heat-bonded to the back of each perforated panel. Sound waves passing through perforation holes are absorbed by the fleece, improving the Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC).

Why Choose Clip-in Ceiling

Six Key Advantages

Ballesta clip-in ceiling systems deliver a premium seamless finish with reliable performance across commercial and public building projects.

Seamless Monolithic Finish

A-type keel clip-in system creates a continuous ceiling surface with no visible grid lines or fasteners. Panels snap in flush for a premium, uninterrupted aesthetic.

Easy Panel Access

Each panel can be individually removed by pressing a designated release point - the panel flexes slightly to disengage from the A-type keel. Targeted access without disturbing adjacent panels.

Acoustic Comfort

Perforated clip-in panels with acoustic fleece backing achieve NRC ratings up to 0.75, controlling reverberation and ambient noise in offices, classrooms and public spaces.

Fire Safety

All aluminum clip-in panels are non-combustible with Class A fire rating per ASTM E84 and EN 13501-1. No toxic fumes emitted in fire conditions - safe for all occupancy types.

Multiple Panel Sizes

Available in 300x300mm, 600x600mm, 300x600mm, and 600x1200mm. Multiple thickness options (0.5mm to 1.0mm) suit different span requirements and load capacities.

Rich Finish Options

Powder coating in any RAL or Pantone color, anodized finishes (natural, champagne, bronze, black), and wood-grain transfer printing. Custom colors for brand-matching projects.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between clip-in and lay-in ceiling?

Clip-in panels snap into A-type keels on all four edges, creating a seamless monolithic surface with no visible grid lines. Lay-in panels rest on T-bar grid flanges where the grid remains partially visible. Clip-in delivers a more premium, uninterrupted aesthetic.

What standard sizes are available for clip-in panels?

Standard sizes include 300x300mm, 600x600mm, 300x600mm, and 600x1200mm. Custom sizes are available for special project requirements. Panel thickness ranges from 0.5mm to 1.0mm depending on span and loading conditions.

Can clip-in panels be perforated for acoustic performance?

Yes. Perforated clip-in panels with acoustic fleece backing achieve NRC ratings up to 0.75. Standard perforation patterns include 1.8mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, and 3.0mm round holes in various open-area configurations.

How is panel access handled for maintenance?

Clip-in panels can be individually removed by pressing a designated release point on one edge. The panel flexes slightly to disengage from the A-type keel. This allows targeted access to overhead services without disturbing adjacent panels.

What finishes are available?

Powder coating in any RAL or Pantone color, anodized aluminum (natural, champagne, bronze, black), and wood-grain transfer printing. Standard stock colors include RAL 9003 (Signal White) and RAL 9006 (White Aluminium).

What is the fire rating of clip-in ceiling panels?

All Ballesta clip-in aluminum panels achieve Class A fire rating per ASTM E84 and EN 13501-1. They are non-combustible and emit no toxic fumes in fire conditions, suitable for all occupancy types including high-rise buildings.
